National Apprenticeship Week

Mercuri International are taking part in National Apprenticeship Week by celebrating a number of our past and present apprentices for our ‘5 Days of Excellence’. We are celebrating all of the hard work our learners have put into their apprenticeship and all of their success so far.

National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is the 16th annual week-long celebration of apprenticeships.

The week brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to shine a light on the positive impact that apprenticeships make to individuals, businesses and the wider economy.

Dan Bull, Innovation Program Leader at Rockwell Automation finished his apprenticeship in July 2022 achieving a Distinction in his Level 3 Team Leader apprenticeship! Dan spoke to us about what he enjoyed about his apprenticeship and what he has accomplished since finishing the course.

“I would definitely recommend taking part in a Mercuri apprenticeship!”

Dan Bull – Rockwell Automation

Throughout his Team Leader L3 apprenticeship, Dan showed commitment and passion for learning. He absorbed lots of knowledge on the principles of leadership and how management tools and techniques could support him to be a more effective leader in his organisation. It was no surprise when I was told about Dan’s promotion to the UK OEM Manager. His natural drive to apply and implement what he had learnt throughout the apprenticeship and demonstrate them within his team was outstanding. Testimonies from Dan’s line manager were always extremely positive with evidence that Dan communicated effectively and was able to present information to all senior management across the globe. From the start, Dan was a supportive and an approachable mentor to his colleagues and was able to use his coaching techniques gained from the apprenticeship to develop not only himself, but his team. Dan’s achievement with a distinction grade is testament to what he put into the whole apprenticeship journey.

Skills For Life

The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2023 is “Skills for Life”; reflecting on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and businesses to develop a talented workforce that is equipped with future-ready skills.
