Team Leader Apprenticeship opens doors for new opportunities

Dr Jolanta Obszynska (fCMgr) of Leicester City Councils Traffic Regulation Order Team in the Civil Enforcement & Traffic Regulation, Planning, Development and Transportation department, recently gained a achieved a distinction in her programme, read her story here.

Undertaking the Team Leader Supervisor L3 apprenticeship gave me an opportunity to develop myself as a leader, but also as a person. It gave me knowledge and tools to further pursue my personal and professional goals. I have not only gained a new qualification, but a brilliant set of skills for life.

The support I have been given by my Mercuri tutor was excellent , I could not have achieved what I did without her.”

Dr Jolanta Obszynska (fCMgr)

Jolanta was part of a large cohort of Team Leader Supervisor Level 3 learners, who embraced the challenge of learning deeper knowledge and how to apply this knowledge within her everyday role. The commitment and thirst for knowledge was apparent from the very first visit, as Jolanta was interested in how she could apply newly learned theories, models and principles of management and leadership not just once, but continue with these practices daily.

The aim of distinction was there from the beginning and never wavered. The best feeling as a Learning and Development coach is when you have the pleasure of informing a learner that they have achieved their distinction and Jolanta’s tearful reaction to being informed of her result, was worth it’s weight in gold. Jolanta is now undertaking added responsibilities through the support of her Manager Ed Kocik, to prepare herself to progress onto the Operational Management Level 5 standard in 2024 and we look forward to supporting Jolanta with her next qualification.
