Team Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship Empowers Leicester City Council Employee to Achieve Professional Distinction

James Runacres at LCC achieved a distinction in his Team Leader Supervisor Level 3 standard and also achieved the CMI Team Leader Level 3 Diploma – this is the Chartered Management Institute

James adapted to blended learning really well, and was open minded about how face to face workshops and remote 121 visits, with the remote group sessions would work.

James has been fully emersed in gaining as much knowledge and insights into the aspects of both his Diploma evidence and Standard evidence as he could, of which he gained a much deeper understanding of Management and Leadership.

James demonstrated great time management through meeting submission days, attending all sessions, including his 12 week reviews with his supportive manager David Mee.

During the apprenticeship James has taken on more managerial responsibilities and his role is greatly valued within his Neighbourhood & Environmental Services department at Leicester City Council. James aimed for a distinction grade from the beginning and I am so pleased that this is what he achieved from his end point assessments.

Amanda Mort, Learning and Development Coach.

Undertaking the Team Leader Supervisor L3 apprenticeship has been an absolute joy. Throughout the journey I’ve gained valuable insights into effective leadership, team dynamics, and organisational strategy. The mix of in-person and online learning, with the support of my dedicated personal tutor Amanda Mort, has exposed me to new experiences and allowed me to strengthen my job role and actively progress my career.
