Talking to schools about a career in sales

With a theme focused around #BuildTheFuture it is appropriate that we not only celebrated the launch of the St. Modwen Homes Sales Apprenticeship but we have also engaged with school students to talk to them about their future career.

Thank you to the Manchester United Foundation for the opportunity to talk to the group of year 10 school children. The Manchester United Foundation is keen to provide school students with a wealth of unique opportunities to explore different careers.

Matthew Nicholls, Partner Business Manager and a Sales Apprentice at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, joined the virtual session with Apprenticeship Consultant Jo Griffiths. Jo and Matt enthused about working in sales, with Jo discussing the varied roles available and core skills required. Matt talked to the students about where his apprenticeship journey has taken him and what a typical day looks like.

The year 10 group were enthusiastic and took advantage of the occasion to ask questions about following a sales pathway. Now easily attainable through the Level 4 Sales Executive apprenticeship programme.

The Manchester United Foundation, as part of their careers programme, is working with organizations that offer apprenticeships and non-traditional routes into employment.
